What are Pearl Cards™?
Decks of cards containing fine art and photographic images.
What do I do with them?
Use them to play "string-of-pearls" storytelling games,
where a group of players tells a story together,
each continuing the story where the last left off,
using the cards as visual cues for the next bit of the story.
Who would I play these games with?
- Play them with your friends. Pearl Cards make for a
fun and unusual game that rewards quick thinking and creativity.
- Play them with your family. Nobody loses in a Pearl Games
storytelling game, and everybody gets exposed to the fine art
on the cards.
- If you're a teacher, use them in your classroom. They're a great way
to encourage your students to write.
Is there a way to try playing
a string-of-pearls storytelling game before I buy the cards?
Yes. Play the Pearl Cards Online Game.
Where do the card images come from?
All the images in the two decks that are currently available come from
the public domain. However, in the future, we'll be releasing new decks
featuring original art created by artists and photographers who will earn
royalties for every card sold with their work on it. If you're a visual artist
or a photographer, or if you know one who might be interested in this opportunity,
you can read more about it here.
